I was always under the impression that each of the hooves of a horse needs to be trimmed exact the same way as the opposing one, for a horse to be perfectly balanced, but after talking to him and seeing him do a live trimming in front of me, my opinion instantly changed. In fact each horse has a different balance than the other, and each horse puts a certain amount of pressure on each of his/her hooves. Therefore, each of the hooves needs to be trimmed accordingly, I learned.
